Essential equipment for the celebration of Mass was and remains: the chalice, purificatory (white scarf), palla (reinforced square covering the chalice), velum (decorated square cloth in liturgical colour covering the chalice), bursa (cloth case for carrying the paten with host for the vessels and oil; for the sacrament of anointing of the sick). For the sacrament of baptism, a water pot and a bowl are used.
